Before Lewis became a writer, he worked at Salomon Brothers,
a large Wall Street firm, and that served as his inspiration for his first
book, Liar’s Poker. His books about
Wall Street have been national bestsellers in addition to his other books. His
most notable books are The Blind Side,
an account of Michael Oher and his football career, and Moneyball, the story of Billy Beane and the 2002 Oakland Athletics.
He has also written about personal experiences with coaches and raising his
children.
He speaks about technology and how society is changing
because of the Internet. He has written a few pieces about the Internet and how
increased connectivity has changed society and how we interact with each other.
In his book Next, The Future Just
Happened, he documents crumbling institutions and the rise of young
entrepreneurs who want to change the world.
